Learning Lab

The Learning Lab

A "Learning Lab" has now become an integral part of every user group conference.

The first Learning Lab was introduced to or meetings at the October 2012 meeting, and has become a firm feature at these events.

An additional meeting room was set aside in order to offer the “Learning Lab” - a feature imported from the North American Explorer User Conference.  The room was fitted out with workstations, and staffed by RedSky IT staff from a number of different disciplines.  Users were invited to “drop in” at any time of the day to suit themselves.  Assuming a staff member of an appropriate discipline was available, then the user was able to raise any topics he/she wished.  Topics can range from support issues to demonstrations of additional functionality within the software.

The first learning lab was well attended, with a constant stream of users accessing the facility throughout the day.

This feature has been repeated at all subsequent meetings and has proved extrememly popular.  Large numbers of users can be seen in the room at various times of the day.  The Learning Lab has now become a regular feature at our meetings.

Users wishing to see a specific consultant can make appointments in advance, however users are free to "drop in" whenever they feel is appropriate.
